3D printing is a revolutionary tool that has the power to make a significant impact amongst various industries. Being able to print, or replicate, a functioning physical product in 3-dimensional form will allow organization to view and physically manipulate a project compared to the examination of projects virtually. I don't see this making much of an impact in retail markets compared to the projections foreseen in the industrial market. One of the most interesting concepts posed here is a 3D printed gun that is undetectable by metal detectors.
